The principle consists in converting raw energy from the swell of the sea into domestic energy such as electricity. The module comprises a shell 1 of 30 metres diameter anchored to the bottom of the sea, and a balance bar 2, connected to one another by a damper capable of absorbing violent impacts. Securely fastened to the central part of the shell, a group of hydraulic pistons 7, whose connecting rods 16 are translationally connected, but rotationally free, to the oscillating plate 5, is imparted with a reciprocating movement creating a circulation of oil towards a hydraulic radial-piston motor coupled to an electric generator. The inertia balance bar, due to its resistance to the water, exerts a movement counter to that which the swell produces on the shell. <IMAGE>
