The two gripping jaws (8) at the lower end of a guide pipe (1) are parts of a pair of lazy tongs. They are actuated by means of a lever (4) at the upper end of a guide pipe (1) via a cable (6, 22) inside this guide pipe (1). By virtue of the leverage which is characteristic of lazy tongs, a large opening range of the gripping jaws (8) accompanied by a restricted movement path of the lever (4) is obtained. <IMAGE>
