The equipment forms horizontal submarine boreholes, either through or below a structure on or in the water. It comprises a lifting island (1) positioned immediately adjacent to the structure, and an underwater chamber (5) which can be set at the level of the latter. The chamber has an access tower from the island, and a drilling mast which can be actuated from inside it. - The chamber can be fixed to the island or adjustable horizontally on a frame, in turn adjustable for heighton the island. The chamber rests on a truck travelling on the frame.
