PURPOSE:To prevent the degrading of recording quality by arranging heat generating elements alternately one at a time in two rows to eliminating white clearance possibly inserted in a graphic to be recorded continuously in black. CONSTITUTION:Two groups of parallel heat generating resistors 7a and 7b arranged linearly in the direction of the main scanning at the density half that of the main scanning and at the pitch corresponding to 2 dots in the main scan line density are arranged flush with each other on the same substrate in such a manner as to be shifted by a dimension corresponding to one dot of the main scan line density in the direction of the main scan line and separated by a dimension corresponding to one line of the subscan line density in the direction of the subscan line. The length of the heat generating resistors in the main scanning direction is equal to or larger than the dimension corresponding to one dot of the main scan line density. |
