<p>The fire-proof lining for coal gasifiers producing reduction gas is comprised at least partially of non-calcined carbonaceous magnesia stones having a carbon content comprised between 5 and 30 % by weight. The components of those magnesia stones composed of sintered and/or melted magnesia have conveniently a Fe2O3 content lower than 6 % by weight, preferably under 1.5 % by weight, and a SiO2 content lower than 3 % by weight, preferably under 1 % by weight. </p> |
