A turbine blade with at least one cooling channel for the passage of a coolant comprises a flat, thermally conductive and, in general, thin-walled helical or planar insert which is arranged with a snug fit in the cooling channel by brazing. An increased heat transfer surface is thereby created with the aid of simple means.
