PURPOSE:To smooth the motion of a tool replacement arm by furnishing a drive shaft having helical spline and a cam shaft having cylindrical cam in parallel with a rotary shaft for advance/retraction and revolution of tool replacement arm, and thereby lessening the inertia of arm drive system. CONSTITUTION:A drive shaft 30 is rotated by a motor M to turn a gear 62 clockwise. Thereby a gear 63 in engagement with a cylindrical cam 21 is turned counterclockwise to revolve a tool replacement arm TA formed as in a single piece with a gear 64. This arm TA revolves through the action of cam for a certain angle and grasp the tool. When a pin 26 advances from the rear end C of a straight motion groove 24 toward the front end, the arm TA will draw out the tool from spindle 100 and magazine 200. The arm TA will now retract through the action of pin 26 and revolutional groove 23, and revolve by interaction with a cam groove 25. Thus tool replcement is accomplished. |
