PURPOSE:To improve the spectrum characteristics of a solid-state image pickup element and to reduce noise of a vertical CCD transfer pulse by improving the electrode constitution connecting a solid-state scanning section and a photoelectric converting section. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 21 controlled by an external power supply is arranged under a photoelectric converting film 22 formed on a semiconductor board 1. Further, an electrode 24 made of a light-transmitting material is formed separately at each picture element above the photoelectric converting film 22. Then, the upper electrode 24 and the lower electrode 21 are connected electrically to a charge storage diode section 3 of a solid-state scanning section. Through the constitution above, the light incidence and the movement of carriers are identical to those of a vidicon type image pickup tube and a picture with high quality is obtained. |
