PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of hardware by restoring a compressed data based on a table where the compressed data is taken as an address and white or black consecutive length is read. CONSTITUTION:When the modified Hoffman system (MH) compressed data is set to a data register 1 and a data valid flag 2 is turned, on state, a microprocessor 5 sets the compressed data from the register 1 to an MH converting register 3. Then, the data of an MH converting table 4 is read by taking a value of the converting register 3 as an address and the original picture is restored. Thus, the program for restoration is simplified and the hardware is simplified. |
