A safety light, especially for signalling or reporting devices, having at least one spare incandescent lamp, each spare incandescent lamp being connected via an electronic changeover device into the circuit of the main incandescent lamp in such a manner that the operating voltage is not applied to it until the main incandescent lamp has failed.
