CIRCUIT FOR DETECTING DROP OF OPTICAL INPUT

PURPOSE:To prevent the constraint on a signa form by constituting the titled circuit of a comparator comparing a peak output signa with a DC reference voltage and a storage circuit storing the compared output signal from the comparator by using a data output signal as a trigger. CONSTITUTION:An optical receiver 1 has an output section receiving an optical input signal and outputting a data output signal from an output terminal 2, and a peak output section outputting the peak output signal corresponding to a peak value of an optical input power from an output terminal 3. The comparator 5 inputs the peak output signal from the terminal 3 at its non-inverting input terminal 6 and a DC reference power supply 4 is connected to an inverting input terminal 7. A data output signal to be used as a trigger from a terminal 2 is inputted to a terminal 25 of the storage circuit 26 and an output 8 of the comparator is inputted to an input terminal 29. Further, the output is obtained from a storage circuit output terminal 27.
