<p>A combination layout tool and square which combines the functions of a number of separate tools and which makes certain common layout measurements easier to make. Said combination device includes a layout tool (12) having a rectangular plate (16) and a rectangular endpiece (18); and a square adaptor (14) having an attachment plate (74) and a ruler assembly (76). The layout tool is provided with a number of slots and apertures which allow a construction worker to make quick, standard measurement. The square adaptor (14) includes a pivotable ruler (86) which can be aligned parallel to or perpendicular to the longitudinal edges (60 and 64) of the layout tool. </p> |
