In a device (11) for mounting a rotary turning tool (3), which has a basic body (12) accommodating this rotary turning tool (3) and to be fastened to the work spindle (4) of the machine tool in such a way as to be locked against rotation, a recess (15) which runs at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis (A) of the work spindle (4) is made in the basic body (12), and the turning tool (3) is held parallel to the axis of the basic body (12) in a bush (16) inserted into this recess (15). In order to laterally adjust the turning tool (3), the bush (16) is arranged in the recess (15) in such a way that it can be adjusted in the axial direction of the latter by means of a threaded spindle (22). With little construction cost, this design enables the turning tool (3) to be changed in its position with regard to the rotational axis (A) by an axial displacement of the bush (16) so that the turning tool (3) can be set easily and quickly to workpiece diameters to be machined in different ways. <IMAGE>
