The corner deflection for an espagnolette fastening insertable into undercut profiled grooves of the frame profiles of windows and doors made of metal, plastic or the like acquires a design which requires only a minimum installation space even when injection-moulded or die-cast espagnolette connection pieces are used outside the undercut profiled grooves of the frame profiles. It has an angle housing which possesses a deflecting member composed of flexible bands and the legs of which each guide an espagnolette connection piece connected to a deflecting member, and in which one of the legs has a smaller cross-sectional height than the other, the connection piece guided by this leg serving at the same time as a locking slide and having a boss which is guided in a longitudinal slot in the outside of the leg. The longitudinal slot 23 guiding the boss 28 runs through, in the leg 3 having the small cross-sectional height, as far as the vertex 27 of the angle housing 2 and is open there on the outside of the leg 4 having the larger cross-sectional height. The connection piece 29 forming the locking slide, especially tilting-bolt locking slide, can engage with a longitudinal strip 33 formed on the underside into the longitudinal slot 23 of the leg 3 and is guided through as far as the free end of the bolt tongue 32 (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
