<p>To eliminate the risk of a jetting tube catching fire if it is accidentally hit by a laser beam during micro- laryngeal surgery a jetting tube comprises a shapable tube 12 of malleable metal, such as copper, and of a basic configuration providing a U-shaped section on the end of one limb 18 of which is a union or connector 14, preferably a luer lock connector and the other limb 20 of which connects with an angled section 22 extending at an angle to the other limb 20 and having a rounded protrusion 16, preferably a ball, on its free end. The union or connector 14 enables the jetting tube to be connected to a source of gas under pressure and the rounded protrusion 16 facilitates the angled section's 22 passage between the vocal cords of a patient 32. <IMAGE></p> |
