PURPOSE:To enable to easily insert and detach a supplying cassette, by a method wherein a fitting angle at which a supplying cassette is fitted to an upper unit is set to be larger than an opening angle of the upper unit against a lower unit, in a recorder for a computer or the like. CONSTITUTION:When the upper unit 35 is rotated upward to be opened from the lower unit 36, a stretching passage for a thermal transfer ribbon 6 is sufficiently exposed, and replacement of the ribbon and maintenance of the part thereof along the passage are facilitated. In addition, a feeding passage for a transfer paper around a platen roller 4 and a pressure roller 16 is sufficiently opened by the opening, so that even when the paper P is jammed, it can be easily removed. In this case, since the fitting angle alpha at which the supplying cassette 3 is fitted to the upper unit 35 is set to be not smaller than the opening angle beta, the cassette 3 is brought into a horizontal or raised position when the upper unit 35 is opened, so that the paper P stored is prevented from being staggered, and the fitting can be markedly facilitated. |
