PURPOSE:To provide the titled device capable of applying a normal operation of a pressure responsive member by a method wherein a midpoint of a secondary air supplying path communicating with an exhaust gas path and a pressure chamber in the pressure responsive member are communicated to each other through a pressure path. CONSTITUTION:A control valve 34 controls supplying volume of secondary air in response to a load in the engine and a check valve 35 prevents a reverse flow of gas from an exhaust manifold 30. Thus, the downstream of the check valve 35 in a secondary air supplying passage 32 shows substantially the same pressure at that in the exhaust manifold 30 and this pressure flows into a pressure chamber 28 in a diaphragm device 25 through a rubber tube 37. With this condition, if a load in the engine is increased and an exhaust gas pressure is increased, an inner pressure in a pressure chamber 28 is also increased and thereby a batterfly 27 pushes up the rod 26 against a spring to open a pushing sub-throttle valve 23. |
