ENDOSCOPE FOR MEASURING LENGTH

PURPOSE:To enable measurement of the distance up to an object or the size of the object by irradiating laser light together with illuminating light on the incident end face of a light guide, projecting the light to the object and displaying a scale in the visual field for observation. CONSTITUTION:The incident end face of a light guide 11 in an universal cord 6 is irradiated by the light from a laser light source 13 in the direction of an angle beta relative to the optical axis of an illuminating lamp 12. The light thereof emerges from the guide 11 while repeating reflection therein and irradiates an object A-A or B-B. The laser light forms a luminescent line 13A on the object surface. The light from the line 13A is imaged on the scale member 19 in the visual field for observation by an eyepiece lens 18 via an objective lens 17 and an image guide 16 and the distance from the object A-A or B-B is measured by the distance of said image from the optical axis.
