PURPOSE:To obtain the head of a sprinkler having long life, by separating a channel for a water stream and a turning shaft from each other, and reversely swinging said turning shaft and a nozzle pipe swinging above the turning shaft. CONSTITUTION:A supporting pole 1 is supported on a base 10, a turning stopper 1' is provided at the top end of said pole 1, a rotatably supported turning shaft 2, and a turning arm 4 and a swinging shaft 5 held above said shaft 2 are provided at a turning bearing 3 held at the supporting pole 1, a nozzle pipe 6 connected to a rotatably inserted swinging bearing 5' is provided at the swinging shaft 5, and a water spraying nozzle 6, a balance weight 7 and a water supply hose 9 are provided at the nozzle pipe 6. By supporting the supporting pole 1 with a forward inclined angle theta by the base 10, the nozzle pipe 6 is reversely swung by the horizontal component of a force. Hence, the head of a sprinkler capable of stably sprinkling even in a strong with or during intermittent driving is obtained.
