PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which can moderately adhere to objects to be coated and can be easily peeled off after coating, but does not cause the peeling-off of a coating film at the time of the peeling of the compsn., by dispersing tetra-fluoroethylene telomer in an org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. for masking is obtd. by dispersing tetrafluoroethylene telomer (e.g. one having a number-average MW of 1,000-500,000) in an org. solvent such as 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoromethane. This compsn. for masking has moderate adhesion, so that there is no fear of the compsn. dropping out of itself and the compsn. can be easily peeled off by a nail, etc. after coating. A surface masked by the compsn. is non-adherent to paints, so that there is no fear of a coating film being peeled off at the time of the peeling of masking. When a silicone water repellent, a fluorine-contg. water and oil repellent, a parting agent or a surfactant is used together, masking can be mach easily peeled off in the case of coating of baking type paints.
