PURPOSE:To provide a simple device which rotates a sleeve during melting of a soldering material and solders the sleeve to a pipe end in inserting and soldering the sleeve to the pipe end by providing means for energizing the inserted sleeve by a spring and heating externally the sleeve while feeding an inert gas therein. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 11 is fastened into a pipe fixing part 17, and a sleeve 12 is inserted onto said pipe via annular solder 13 and is pressed by a sleeve holding part 20 which is energized by a compression spring 29. An inert gas from a hose 25 is fed into the pipe 11 and the pipe is heated by a suitable method from the outside of the sleeve 12. When the solder 13 melts, the operator rotates the sleeve by turning a handle for rotation, thereby soldering the sleeve to the pipe with the aid of the energizing by the spring 29. If the material to be soldered has good wettability with solder, this method is applicalbe to all kinds of resembling soldering. Oxygen-free soldering is made possible with the extremely simple jig. |
