PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic device whose core material is amorphous alloy which has magnetic characteristics of reduced iron loss in high frequency range and improved thermal stability by introducing low loss amorphous alloy composed of at least one of (Fe1-xMx)zSiyB100-y-z, M=Cr, Ni, Nb as a core material. CONSTITUTION:A low loss amorphous alloy expressed by (Fe1-xMx)zSiyB100-y-z (where M means at least one of Cr, Ni and Nb and x, y and z are numbers which conform to following relations: 0.005<=x<=0.10, 3<=y<=8, 80<=z<=85, x+y+ z=100) is introduced. M is an element effective for improving crystallization temperature and shows large saturated magnetization when (x) is less than 0.1 and is practical. Si is an element effective for improving crystallization temperature. This amorphous alloy is produced in such a way that each component is mixed by a prescribed proportion and melted and made amorphous by a conventional method such as molten liquid quick cooling and treated by heat while no magnetic field is applied. |
