PURPOSE:To provide a titled roll for conveyance which carries and conveys a material to be treated in a heat treatment furnace by fixing concentrically, via hub materials, ceramics having an annular or arc section divided to plural pieces to a roll shaft thereby forming the body part of the roll. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of ceramic moldings 11, 12 of SiC, etc. having an annular or circularly arcuate section divided axially and/or diametrally are used as one set, and the respective two end parts are concentrically fixed, via hub members 21, 22, 23, to a roll shaft 1, at a roll body part 3 of a roll for conveying a material to be treated in a heat treatment furnace for iron and steel. Heat resistant reinforcing members 31, 32 consisting of refractories, etc. are preferably placed and built on the rear of said moldings 11, 12 and are detained to the materials 21, 22, 23 to prevent failure owing to load. It is more preferable to pack a shock absorbing material consisting of ceramic fibers, etc. in the space between the part 3 and the shaft 1. |
