PURPOSE:To obtain a shape memory alloy having small hysteresis of low temp. phase high temp. phase transformation and bidirectional properties by adding a specified amount of C, N or O to a shape memory Ti-Ni alloy. CONSTITUTION:To a shape memory Ti-Ni alloy are added 0.05-0.5wt% one or more among C, N and O. The resulting alloy is subjected to soln. heat treatment at about 500-1,100 deg.C in a state in which it is optionally under restraint to a prescribed shape to be stored. After finishing quenching, the alloy is aged at about 200-600 deg.C in a state in which it is under restraint to the prescribed shape to be memorized. |
