PURPOSE:To manufacture inexpensively and in bulk a composite metallic material having high adhesiveness by charging a molten metal onto a metallic plate provided with a weir to the outer circumference and hot rolling the joined metals after solidifying them. CONSTITUTION:A metallic plate 1 provided with a weir 2 to its vicinity or circumference is laid with its joining surface 7 upward on a surface platen 6 of a casting mold 4, and a molten metal 5 is cast on the joining surface of the plate 1 in the weir 4 while keeping the circumference of the plate 1 in an non- oxidizing atmosphere as occasion demands. The molten metal 5 solidifies with time, and a composite metal piece is obtained. In this way, the surfaces of the plate 1 and the metal 5 are joined together in a perfectly sealed state while melting a part of or the whole of the metallic frame to seal the circumference of the joining surfaces. |
