PURPOSE:To reduce bad influence on the environments by a method in which oxides such as NOX, SOX, etc., are burned in an oxidative conduction, soon reduced by ambient reductive atmosphere to restore it to a stable condition, and discharged to the outside of a furnace. CONSTITUTION:The main constituent substances H2 and CO of a combustion gas to be sent through an inlet port 4 are oxidized by O2 in air sent from an inlet 3 to form H2O and CO2, and energy is released. The heat energy of exothermic reaction is taken out through a heat medium constituting a heat transfer device 10 to the outside of the furnace 2. In this case, such substances as Li, K, Ca, Na, Mg, etc. showing a cation ionization tendency at high temperatures are charged into the furnace 2 to form a reductive atmosphere. For this reason, oxides such as NOX and SOX are converted into most stable substances N2 and S2 by the actions of high-temperature heat energy and also of reductive atmosphere and discharged to the outside of the furnace. Bad influence of these oxides on the environment can thus be reduced. |
