PURPOSE:To straighten a wire in accordance with a continuous change without requiring any manual labor by detecting the bend and bending direction of a wire let off from a wire reel, matching a strightening device with the bending direction of the wire and controlling the rate of straightening. CONSTITUTION:When a detector 10 detects the bend or bending direction of a wire 2, the detection signal 11 thereof is converted to control signals 14, 15 by a control device 13. The 1st and 2nd motors are driven by both control signals 14, 15 by which a straightening device 3 is rotated; at the same time, a straightening roll 7 moves and the bending of the wire 2 is continuously and automatically straightened. The aiming position of the wire 2 is made exact and the wire is correctly straightened irrespectively of the winding amt. of the wire on a wire reel 1 or the twisting of the wire. |
