PURPOSE:To provide a molding material which gives moldings having excellent resistance to impact and wear and has no fear of wearing the contact surfaces of molds or molding machines during molding, by incorporating polyethylene powder in a thermosetting resin molding material. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin, polyethylene powder, glass fiber and optionally additives such as a hardener, a lubricant, a colorant, an org. reinforcing material, etc. are blended together, kneaded and crushed to obtain the desired thermosetting resin molding material. Polyethylene powder having a particle size of 30 mesh or below is preferred and used in a quantity of 0.05-10wt%, pref. 0.5-5wt% baed on the total quantity of the molding material. When melamine resin is used as the thermosetting resin, the effect is particularly remarkable.
