PURPOSE:To enlarge synthetic rubber latex particles effectively, by adding an acid group-containing copolymer latex obtained by emulsion-polymerizing a mixture of an acid group-containing monomer, an alkyl acrylate, etc., to a synthetic rubber latex. CONSTITUTION:An acid group-containing copolymer latex is prepared by emulsion-polymerizing 0.5-30wt% acid group-containing monomer selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylic acid, itaconic acid and crotonic acid with 99.45-35wt% alkyl acrylate containing a 1-12 C alkyl group, 0.05-10wt% copolymerizable polyfunctional monomer (e.g., ethylene diglycidyl diacrylate) and 0-48wt% monovinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith (e.g., styrene). 0.01- 10pts.wt. (in terms of solid content) above-produced acid group-containing copolymer latex is added to 100pts.wt. (in terms of solid content) synthetic rubber latex to enlarge the synthetic rubber particles.
