PURPOSE:To suppress temperature rise caused by operation and improve power generating characteristic by employing the structure in which a cooling means for cooling gas is provided at least to the one of fuel gas supply part and oxidizing agent gas supply part. CONSTITUTION:The fuel gas system pipe 9 and the air system pipe 10 are respectively connected in series to the fuel gas supply chamber 3 and the air supply chamber 4 in the first battery body 8A and the second battery body 8B wherein the electrolyte 1, electrodes 2A, 2B, fuel gas supply chamber 3 and air supply chamber 4 are housed in the tank 7. The cooling devices 11, 12 are respectively disposed on the pipings of fuel gas system pipe 9 and the air system pipe 10 for cooling the fuel gas and the air. The cooling devices 11, 12 have such structure that the cooling pipe 14 which allows the coolant to flow there through, is buried inside a cooling box 13 consisting of, for example, a box form. |
