PURPOSE:To prevent the deflection, buckling, and snaking of a belt by arranging multiple bend rollers at the concave deformation section from a horizontal section to an inclined section so as to satisfy a specific condition when supporting the surface of a resin conveyor belt for a steep slope. CONSTITUTION:S-flanges 6 are erected on both sides of a band-like belt substrate of a conveyor belt for a steep slope, lateral cleats 7 are arranged between the flanges 6, the belt substrate is extended outward to form a free zone, and a belt 1 is bound around a head pulley 2 and a tail pulley 3 to circulate. (n) bend rollers 4 with a radius of (r) are provided on the free zone section on the belt surface of the concave deformation section to the inclined section of the belt 1 of this belt conveyor, and the bending fatigue of the belt is minimized by satisfying both conditions, 0.05<=F<=0.2, 1.01<=L/2r<=1.8, where F is a ratio that the belt 1 is wound around the bend rollers 4, L is the center distance between the bend rollers 4, R is the radius of curvature of the roller arrangement, and phi is the angle of inclination of the belt. |
