PURPOSE:To improve control performance while enhancing the resolving power of the detection of a position by mounting a phase compensating circuit compensating the phase of a commutation signal. CONSTITUTION:A phase compensating circuit 13 outputs phase compensating signals Va-Vc compensating the phase of commutation signals CSa-CSc on the basis of a speed detecting signal etg and current detecting signals iao-ico. Consequently, the phase of the commutation signals is compensated collectively by the compensation of the phase of the commutation signals CSa-CSc by the phase compensating signals Va-Vc. Accordingly, the effect of various phase lags is compensated extending over the whole speed range to high speed from low speed of a brushless motor.
