PURPOSE:To eliminate an operator's job to indicate accurately both the initiation and the termination of a ruled line by having automatic internal decision for priority of ruled line patterns even in case an operator indicates production of different types of ruled lines in overlap with each other. CONSTITUTION:A memory part 26 for ruled line information is provided to each character region where documents are produced and stores the ruled line type information produced for each corresponding character region. Then it is detected whether the ruled line type information produced from the information given from a position designating means is set through intra-character position entries 41-46. When it is decided that the ruled line type information is already set, it is inhibited to write the new ruled line type information to a specified entry. |
