PURPOSE:To enable direct measurement of a solution in vivo, by applying a reversible oxidation-reduction functioning film and a hydrogen carbonate ion selecting film sequentially on the surface of a conducting substrate to stabilize potential drift along with a smaller construction. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 11 is cut out of a BPG plate and a lead 13 is connected to the bottom surface 11b thereof with a conducting adhesive 12. Then, it is inserted into a teflon tube 14 and after an insulation thereof, the tip of the tube is cut off to expose the BPG surface, whereby a working electrode is formed. This is combined with SSCE as reference electrode and a platinum screen as a counter electrode to perform an electrolytic oxidation. Then, an electrolytic oxidation polymerized film 15 of 2,6-xylenol is formed on an exposed surface of the BPG substrate and after washed and dried, the electrolytic oxidation polymer film covered electrode thus obtained is dipped into a dipping liquid of specified composition. Thus, a hydrogen carbonate ion selecting film 16 is applied on the electrolytic oxidation polymer film by repeating the dipping and drying. |
