PURPOSE:To give listeners a light-hearted feeling and increase taste by outputting background music from a speaker and displaying proper characters and patterns on a display device while reception is held in readiness. CONSTITUTION:While a character broadcast is ready to receive, a BGM generating circuit 22 generates background music. The display device,on the other hand, displays fixed characters and patterns read out of character memories 24a and 24b for pattern generation provided internally and further displays unspecified characters and patterns at unspecified positns of the fixed characters and patterns, giving a variation on the display screen. |
