READING METHOD OF PICTURE SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To record a clear copied picture through a simple constitution by giving a phase difference to two light beams which differ in image-formation light spot size and making a photoelectric scanning. CONSTITUTION:A light beam B0 from a light source 1 is branched by a half- mirror 2 and a mirror 3 into light beams BS, BU, and BG; the optical axes of the BS and BU are on a plane parallel to a scanning surface A where an original picture is placed, and the optical axis of the BG is on a plane perpendicular to the plane A. The beams BS and BU are made incident to a deflecting means 4 at an angle DELTAtheta; and beam expanders 5a and 5b reduce the diameter of the BS to obtain a sharp beam and increase the diameter of the BU to obtain an unsharp beam. Both beams reflected by a means 4 pass through an objective 6 and a return mirror 7 to scan on the surface A so that the BS leads the BU in phase, and reflected light from the original picture is passed through a photosensor array 8 to obtain a picture signal having the emphasized contour.
