PURPOSE:To perform accurate transmission by returning the frame bit of a down line to an up line at a terminal part of a bus transmission line, and sending an up-line signal out of each terminal synchronously with a phase extracted from the returned frame bit. CONSTITUTION:A multiplex system consists of a center device 1, the terminator 2 which extracts a frame bit from the down line R of a bus transmisson line and sends it back to the up line T, terminal devices 3-5. Channels CHs A and B provided in a frame of communication capacity are allotted to the terminals 3 and 5 respectively. The frame bit F of the down line R is sent back to the up line T by the terminator 2. The terminal 5 detects the phase of the returned bit F to send out a signal to a time slot of the CHB allotted to the up line T synchronously with the detected phase, and this signal is delayed D and reaches the device 1. The devices 3 detects the delayed phase E of the returned bit F and sends the signal back to the allotted time slot of the CHA.
