PURPOSE:To prevent a voltage notch from generating and to reduce the capacity of an emergency generator by blocking a regenerative converter at the operating time of the generator of an elevator and absorbing the regenerative power by a consuming circuit provided at the DC side of an inverter. CONSTITUTION:Power from an emergency generator 3 is full-wave rectified by a converter 4 at the power drive time in the operation of an elevator by the generator 3, pulse-width modulated by an inverter 7, and supplied to an induction motor 8. At the regenerative time, the converter 4 is blocked by a control circuit (not shown), and a transistor 12B of a regenerative power consuming circuit 12 is conducted. Thus, the regenerative power produced at the DC side through the inverter 7 at the regenerative time is supplied to a resistor 12A to absorb the regenerative power. Accordingly, it is not necessary to provide a regenerative power consuming circuit at the AC side, and the generator 3 is not affected by the influence of the regenerative power. |
