PURPOSE:To take measurements of a position and a speed by measuring both position and speed by a pair of a counter and a bus interface circuit, and varying and selecting a gate time without altering hardware. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a reversible counter circuit 1, latch circuit 21, bus interface circuit 2, and trigger control circuit 22. The value of the revesible coutner 1 is latched by the latch circuit 21 at accurate timing based upon a reference clock signal 23, and this operation is repeated at specific intervals of time to find differences from obtained position data, thus finding the amount of variation in position data during the period, i.e. moving speed. For the purpose of large variation in speed, reference clocks are counted by a microcomputer and the timing for latching the value of the reversible counter is varied. |
