PURPOSE:To obtain a device, the efficiency of optical coupling thereof with a light-emitting element and an optical fiber is high and yield thereof is excellent and is applicable to mass production, by supporting the tip section of the optical fiber by a supporter. CONSTITUTION:On an assembly, fixed voltage is applied to a chip 1 to emit laser beams 4, a tapered adjusting body 15 is inserted between an optical fiber 5 and a stem 3, and the height of the tip section of the optical fiber 5 is adjusted by regulating the quantity of the adjusting body inserted, and the optical fiber 5 is set where it extremely takes in laser beams 4, and fixed to the stem 3 by a fixing material 6. Since theposition of the optical fiber 5 is not changed at that time even when the fixing material 6 cures and shrinks, the optical fiber 5 maximally takes in laser beams 4 even after the fixing material 6 cures, thus improving quality and yield thereof. The intuition of operators is unnecssitated for assembly work, thereby the workability is improved, and mass production is also enabled. |
