<p>NEW MATERIAL:A nonapeptide shown by the formula I [X is Ala; Y is NH (CH2)mCO (m is 2-4) or X is NH(CH2)nCo (n is 1-3): Y is Gly]. USE:An immune adjusting agent. Acting a precursor cell of T cell (lymphocyte derived from thymus), useful as a remedy for immune incompetence caused by especially abnormality of thymus function, such as Di George syndrome, rheumatalgia, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc. PREPARATION:A protected peptide shown by the formula II (R<1> and R<2> are amino-protecting group; R<3> and R<4> are OH-protecting group; R<5> is carboxyl-protecting group; existence of protecting group other than R<2> is not essential) is reduced or subjected to acidolysis so that the protecting group is removed, to give a compound shown by the formula I .</p> |
