DECISION MAKING SYSTEM OF KNOCKING INTENSITY

PURPOSE:To decide the intensity of knocking by deciding the intensity of knocking from the length of the time when the maximum amplitude of a knocking signal or an amplitude larger than a specific value appeares continuously. CONSTITUTION:A sensor signal S obtained by an oscillation sensor is integrated by an integrating circuit 1 and an obtained mean value is compared with a sensor signal S by a comparator 2 to input an output HS larger than the AV to a peak holding circuit 3. The obtained peak value is digitized by an AD converter 4 and used for timing control by a CPU or multiplying circuit 6. In either case, the peak value is regarded as a parameter and a value wherein an engine rotating speed and negative pressure are considered is regarded as the intensity of knocking. Thus, the decision on the knocking intensity is made easily.
