PURPOSE:To avoid the occurrence of various troubles with the blocking of pipe and drying of ink by supplying ink for recording in a vaporized state to a printer. CONSTITUTION:A sublimable ink 4 in a solid/power state as an ink source to be supplied to printer is placed on the upside of a heater 5 connected to a power source 6. When an electric current is flowed to the heater 5, the sublimable ink 4 is heated to become ink vapor 7. When a wire 2 of wire group as a printing means housed in a head 1 moves in the direction of arrow on the basis of a printing signal in the atmosphere of the ink vapor, ink is adhered to the tip portion 2a on the recording paper 3 side of the wire 2 during the period when the wire 2 passes through the ink vapor 7, an ink layer 8 is formed and contacted with the recording paper 3, and dots 30 of the ink are recorded. |
