READING METHOD OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make the method suitable for the read of a television signal by selecting sequentially a selecting line at each horizontal scanning period so as to read a picture signal of each picture element cell and refreshing a picture element cell connected to the selection at a horizontal blanking period. CONSTITUTION:Switching transistors (TRs) 11-1-11-n are selected by a horizontal scanning circuit 62, select read lines 16-1-16-n sequentially by pulses phis1-phisn and impresses a video voltage to each picture element cell of a selected column. Pulses phiG1-phiGm are given to selecting lines 13-1-13-m at each horizontal period from a vertical scanning circuit 73 via switching TRs 70-1-70- m. Thus, the selecting line 13-1 is selected by the phiG1 and the picture element cells 1-1-1-n given by the read pulse VG1 are refreshed when a refreshing pulse voltage VR1 is given during the horizontal blanking period after the picture signal is read.
