The present invention relates to an improvement to extractors of various kinds of dispersed substances such as smokes, dusts, paints and aerosols from a work unit. The extractor according to the invention comprises a suction hood mounted on a bracket, connected to a suction pump 7 located on a foot. The extractor possesses an air blowing device 9 located close to the table of the work unit 1 in order to channel the dispersed substances from said work unit towards the suction hood 3. The blower device is formed by nozzles 2 arranged vertically underneath the work table, at its edge or embedded around the area to be affected, and are connected via a flexible tube to the filtered air outlet of the suction pump 7. <IMAGE>
