PURPOSE:To strengthen the resistance against leakage of liquid and lengthen the life much more by a method in which an alkali-proof adhesive is injected into a bottom hole of a flexible insulating and sealing substance followed by pressing a cathode collecting rod to the bottomed hole in order to penetrate its bottom layer, or the like. CONSTITUTION:A gel-formed cathode black mixture 1, a separator 2 impregnated with an alkaline electrolyte and an anode black mixture 3 are filled inside an anode metal case 4 while an insulating and sealing substance 5 made of a synthetic resin or rubber is placed on the opening part of the metal case 4 for being fitted. A bottomed hole 6 in the shape of a round longitudinal hole is prepared in the central part of the sealing substance 5, whereby the inner diameter of said bottomed hole 6 is made somewhat larger than the outer diameter of a cathode collecting rod 7. Next, an alkali-proof adhesive is injected into the bottomed hole 6 and the cathode collecting rod 7, on whose top a cathode sealing cover 8 is spot-welded, is pressed to the bottomed hole 6 while penetrating its bottom layer 9 to be inserted into the cathode black mixture. And a metal bottom plate 11, an insulating tube 12, insulating rings 13 and 14 as well as an armored can 15 are fitted up, while its both ends 16 and 17 are inwardly bent by pressure thus tightening the whole cell together with sealing in order to obtain an alkaline dry cell 20. |
