PURPOSE:To permit simple and certain altitude-compensation by introducing the air into an acceleration pump which communicates to the float chamber of a carburetor and is operated by the negative pressure in an intake pipe, in accordance, with the decrease of the atmospheric pressure and suspending the operation of the acceleration pump at highland. CONSTITUTION:When a car equipped with an internal-combustion engine is used at highland, the bellows 14 of an altitude compensation control valve 13 is extended as the atmospheric pressure and the air density decrease, and a valve 16 is pushed-down against the pressing force of a spring 17, and an air intake port 21 is opened. Therefore, air is introduced through an air filter 15 and further introduced into the diaphragm chamber 8 of an acceleration pump 4 through a passage 18. Though also the negative pressure in an intake pipe 20 is introduced into the passage 18 at this time, said negative pressure is bleeded by the air, since a throttle 19 is equipped. Therefore, a diaphragm 7 is kept in standstill state, and the acceleration pump 4 stops operation and does not deliver fuel. Thus, deterioration of driving performance due to the concentration of the mixed gas is prevented. |
