The apparatus according to the invention makes it possible to synchronise the cross-sectional variations of a profile with the advancing of this profile in an extruder provided with regulating means 10, 33, 34, 35 which are capable, when they are actuated, of modifying the cross-section of the orifice of the extrusion head 1. The apparatus includes a rotary member 20 arranged, at the exit of the extrusion head, in contact with the T profile when it leaves the head, so that the progression of the profile causes this member to rotate. An electrical position transducer 28 is coupled to the rotary member and delivers electrical signals indicating the length of advancement of the profile at the exit of the extrusion head. A drive-control unit 32, connected to the position transducer and to the aforementioned regulating means, actuates the latter according to predetermined procedures, as a function of the signals emitted by the position transducer. <IMAGE> |
