发明名称 MERCURY VAPOR DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent mercury from adhering to an outer tube and outside view performance from being damaged and obtain high efficiency even at high ambient temperatures by separately arranging metals that form amalgam reacting to the sealed mercury of a lamp in a holding tube whose one end is opened at the bottom of the outer tube bulb at the two locations of high and low temperature sections. CONSTITUTION:An outer tube bulb 2 with optical permeability and the bottom 3 of the outer tube bulb are deposited airtightly and mercury and rare gas are sealed inside. The inner part of the outer tube bulb 2 has two U-shaped glass tubes 6 with an opening section 4 on one end and an electrode 5 on the other end that are deposited at the bottom 3 of the outer tube bulb so as to pass through the electrode 5 inside. An inner tube is made of the two glass tubes 6. A holding tube 7 made of glass whose one end is closed and other end is opened is provided at the bottom 3 of the outer tube bulb facing the opening surface to the outer tube and protruding between the two glass tubes 6. Amalgam formation metals 8a and 8b that form amalgam reacting to mercury are divided into the high and low temperature sides 8a and 8b on a holding body such as wire gauze in the tube 7. The quantity is small at the high temperature side and large at the low temperature side.
