PURPOSE:To eliminated the deflected application of a brake to have the even pressure of the brake rubber which has a press contact with each reel base when the record, reproduction and quick traversing/rewind modes are released with a tape player. CONSTITUTION:In a record, a reproduction or program search modes of a tape player, a head plate 2 moves to the right side of a substrate 1 against the force of a head plate actuating spring 11 by the function of a head press-contact mechanism. The head H of the tape player keeps a press-contact state with a tape. As a result, a guide roll 3 and a subguide roll 5 attached to a main chassis 1 are engaged and fixed to a cut part 4 and a narrow part having no clearance at the left edge of a guide hole 6 respectively. At the same time, a guide shaft 12 attached to the plate 2 is engaged with the right part of a slit 13 on the substrate 1. Thus the plate 2 is prescribed by the rolls 3 and 5 and the shaft 12 with no shift to the right and left sides of the head H. Thus the head H is positioned accurately to the tape T. |
